Creative cook needs taste-tester! About me... I've been getting into cooking and cooking classes lately. Making good food is really an art! The thing that impresses me the most about it is that you have a good intuition about what you are cooking and how it will mix with other ingredients. Then, on top of that timing is key. Cooking is such a temporal art form. A taste can be perfect one moment and mediocre the next. Could you imagine if paintings melted off the wall within hours of their creation? (Well, maybe Dali painted that!) I've been experimenting with herbs and spices that I've never used before. My latest creation is a side-dish I call "Honey Ginger Butter Carrots". Can you guess what's in it? If you said "fenugreek", you're wrong. But, an excellent choice. I recently discovered fenugreek and you get bonus points if you cook anything with this in it. It has a nice, warm taste to it.

I love the outdoors and nature. If you like to do things like hike, that is a big plus! But, I have many different interests, so this is not a deal-breaker. Exploring new places around DC and Baltimore is an avid pastime of mine. I've learned some good spots being in this area for over a decade. It would be really nice to share some of these places with someone, and also go explore some new ones!
